About The Position

The Morning Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and completing cleaning tasks throughout the store. The associate also supports store operations by working in multiple areas as needed, upholding customer-service practices, and following company standards and policies.

Requirements

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Model established customer-experience practices and promote a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
