About The Position

BASIS Chandler is seeking a part-time Monitor for an immediate start, working Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Monitor oversees student activities, including lunches, recesses, parking duty, and the “Early Bird” and “Late Bird” school programs. The role also involves supervising students during structured and unstructured times and providing front office support as applicable.

The position requires a high school diploma or higher and a valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card. Experience in a school or child care environment is preferred. Salary is competitive and dependent on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure their safety.
• Oversee student behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before and after school.
• Report unruly behavior to school management.
• Inform a supervisor of damage to school property.
• Respond urgently to emergencies, such as injuries or food allergies.
• Exercise sound judgment in carrying out duties.
• Assist with front office support, as applicable.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervise individual students and groups during structured and unstructured times.
