About The Position

BASIS Peoria is seeking a Part-Time Monitor for an immediate start. The Monitor oversees student activities and helps maintain student safety during lunches, recesses, passing periods, before- and after-school programs, and other structured and unstructured times. The role may also provide front office support as applicable.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Salary is competitive and depends on education and experience. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or higher.
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure their safety.
• Oversee student behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before- and after-school activities.
• Report unruly behavior to school management.
• Inform the supervisor of damage to school property.
• Respond urgently to emergencies, including injuries and food allergies.
• Exercise sound judgment while carrying out duties.
• Assist with front office support, as applicable.
• Maintain regular, full, and predictable attendance.
• Supervise individual students and groups during structured and unstructured times.
