About The Position
Monitor Technicians observe cardiac monitors for rate, rhythm, and dysrhythmias. This part-time position is scheduled from 7am to 7:30pm.
Requirements
- High school education (required).
Responsibilities
- Admit and discharge patients from the monitoring system.
- Change alarms and limits as directed for individual patient monitoring, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Interpret monitor rhythm strips and post them on the proper chart form.
- Notify appropriate personnel of alarm situations and changes in rhythm.
- Order supplies and arrange maintenance or repairs needed for optimal service.
- Serve as a customer service representative and receptionist as needed.
- Support relationship-based care.
