About The Position
The Monitor Tech works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse in a fast-paced, high-sensory-stimulating environment. The role includes responsibility for efficient and effective delivery of clerical services in telemetry nursing areas, compliance with hospital policies and procedures, and monitoring the telemetry status of monitored patients. The Monitor Tech communicates dysrhythmias to nursing staff. A proctored telemetry EKG and rhythm exam must be passed upon completion of orientation.
Requirements
- BLS CPR certification is required upon hire.
- EKG and rhythm interpretation is required within six months of hire.
- Must pass a proctored telemetry EKG and rhythm exam upon completion of orientation.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of experience with clerical duties preferred.
