About The Position
The Monitor Tech works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse in a fast-paced, highly stimulating environment. The role provides clerical services in telemetry nursing areas and monitors the telemetry status of monitored patients, communicating dysrhythmias to nursing staff. Knowledge of and compliance with hospital policies and procedures are required. A proctored telemetry EKG and rhythm exam must be passed upon completion of orientation.
Requirements
- EKG and rhythm interpretation required within six months of hire.
- BLS CPR required upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least one year of experience with clerical duties preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the telemetry status of each monitored patient.
