About The Position

Apple Inc. is hiring a Module Design Engineer to work on new lens designs, characterize lenses, and integrate them into CMOS image sensor-based camera modules. The role includes analyzing how optical elements influence camera-module image quality and collaborating with suppliers on prototype design and manufacturing. The engineer will troubleshoot supplier issues by defining appropriate metrology, requesting and analyzing data, and deciding on solutions, then communicate design decisions to cross-functional teams. The role requires independently managing schedules, taking designs into production, developing lens testers and metrology equipment, and achieving key program milestones for lens maturity. The position is available in Cupertino, California, and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. It is a 40-hour-per-week role. The stated base pay range is $174,149–$225,300 per year; actual pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple also describes employee stock programs, benefits, possible discretionary bonuses or commission, and possible relocation.
