Mobility Technician, Part-Time, Baptist South
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a compassionate, capable, and team-oriented Mobility Technician to join the Nursing Support team at Baptist South. The role supports nursing staff with patients’ mobility needs in a multidisciplinary environment focused on quality patient care. This is a part-time day position for 24 hours per week, with shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and a weekend rotation. Baptist South serves neighborhoods in southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties. The hospital combines resort-like amenities with advanced medical care and provides for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients and their families.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clinical staff with the safe repositioning, ambulation, and transfer of patients.
- Use patient-handling equipment such as lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards.
- Respond to mobility requests from nursing and rehabilitation departments.
- Support fall-prevention strategies and early-mobility protocols.
- Document patient mobility activities in accordance with hospital policies.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report malfunctions or safety concerns.
