Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time, in-home mobile veterinarian serving the East Bay, California area, including Stockton, Lodi, Modesto, Manteca, Valley Springs, Lathrop, Acampo, Oakdale, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role offers flexible schedules of 2–5 days per week and an average of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed base salary of $65,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. Some benefits are limited to full-time team members.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Practice independently while engaging with the organization's training, mentorship, and support resources.
