Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Grand Rapids, Michigan, including Wyoming, Rockford, Ada, Kentwood, Caledonia, and surrounding areas. The role provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving onboarding, mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. The position typically involves three to four appointments per day, allowing time to focus on families and reduce paperwork. Part-time opportunities are available on a flexible two-to-five-day-per-week schedule. The two-day-per-week option offers a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Attend an average of three to four appointments per day.
- Practice independently while using available mentorship and support resources.
