Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Joliet, Illinois, including Kankakee, New Lenox, Bourbonnais, Plainfield, Frankfort, and surrounding areas. The role provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in their homes. Veterinarians practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules of two to five days per week are available, with an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. The posting describes three-, four-, and five-day full-time opportunities, as well as part-time opportunities. Four-day positions start at $75,000, and five-day positions offer a $90,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), or Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
