About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring an in-home Associate Veterinarian to serve Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Fruit Cove, Orange Park, Ponte Vedra Beach, Atlantic Beach, Saint Johns, Florida, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules, an average of three to four unrushed appointments per day, and support from a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. The company provides comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Full-time opportunities are available on three-, four-, and five-day schedules; part-time opportunities are also available on a three-day schedule. Compensation varies by schedule. Four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
