Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time Mobile Veterinarian serving Royal Oak, Detroit, Warren, Clinton Township, Macomb, Sterling Heights, Michigan, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes during meaningful end-of-life moments. This veterinarian-founded and owned organization offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with a focus on professional fulfillment, personal freedom, and a supportive culture of kindness. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while receiving comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities working two days per week offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates will be subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate veterinary hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Conduct mobile appointments in clients’ homes across the listed Michigan service areas.
