About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Wilmington, Leland, Southport, Hampstead, Oak Island, Rocky Point, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families at meaningful and difficult moments. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible scheduling and an average of 3–4 unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians work independently in the field while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. Support includes comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Part-time opportunities are available for two days per week, with a guaranteed annual base salary of $40,000, bonus opportunities, and benefits. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
Travel to appointments in the Wilmington, Leland, Southport, Hampstead, Oak Island, Rocky Point, NC area and surrounding areas.
