Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian serving Joliet, Kankakee, New Lenox, Bourbonnais, Plainfield, Frankfort, and surrounding areas in Illinois. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes, supporting families during meaningful end-of-life moments. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week and averages three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with comprehensive onboarding, ongoing training, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Two-day-per-week opportunities offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $40,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request. Full-time team members have access to additional benefits.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must complete a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
