About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Weston, Davie, Plantation, Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, and surrounding Florida areas. The veterinarian practices independently while traveling to clients’ homes, helping families make difficult decisions and say goodbye to their pets with dignity and peace. Visits are intentionally unhurried, with only a few appointments each day and no double-booking. The company provides onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and support from experienced colleagues. Several scheduling options are available: five-day full-time, four-day full-time, or two- and three-day full-time or self-managed part-time schedules. Self-managed scheduling options are also available. Weekend work is arranged around the veterinarian’s preferences: the veterinarian chooses four weekend days per month. Compensation varies by schedule, with a $150,000 base salary for the five-day schedule and a starting salary of $110,000 for the four-day schedule; both include opportunities for quarterly bonuses. Compensation for other schedules is prorated or discussed based on the selected schedule. The practice does not require a non-compete agreement.
