About The Position

RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is hiring an experienced Mobile Trailer Mechanic in the Elyria, Ohio area. The role involves diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining semi-trailers while providing service from a mobile service truck. The successful candidate is self-motivated, safety-minded, and able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. This is an outdoor, mobile-service position. Compensation is $25–$32 per hour, commensurate with experience, with quarterly safety and performance bonuses available after 90 days. The schedule is Monday through Friday, days, with overtime after 40 hours. Benefit options are available after 90 days; paid holidays and vacation time are offered, and a 401(k) is available after one year. Paychecks are issued bi-weekly, and the company promotes from within. RSS Mobile Trailer Repair has been in business for over 32 years and has nearly 400 team members across 17 states. Requirements

Trailer mechanic experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Self-motivated and safety-minded, with effective communication skills for working with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Inspect and diagnose all trailer systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective components.
Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including ABS, frames, bodies, doors, tires, and electrical systems.
Provide top-notch service as an independently motivated professional.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
Properly operate the mobile service truck.
Follow all safety requirements while servicing trailers and driving the service truck.
