About The Position
Mobile Diesel Technician – Corning, NY. Earn up to $32/hour PLUS monthly productivity bonuses! Brand-new company service truck. Primarily perform lot work and repairs outside the shop during regular business hours. Company truck stays at the shop when you are not on call; you may take it home when on call. Required 24-hour on-call shift every Saturday.
Requirements
- 3+ years of diesel repair experience on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Your own tools and toolbox.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Strong communication skills when working with service managers, service writers, and customers.
- A commitment to safe, efficient, high-quality work.
Nice To Haves
- CDL preferred, but not required.
- Preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Air systems, brakes, and wheel ends.
- Electrical diagnostics and starting systems.
- Cooling systems and basic A/C diagnostics and repairs.
- Steering, alignment, and drivetrain repairs.
- Differential removal and replacement.
- Aftertreatment systems.
- General trailer repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform lot work and repairs outside the shop during regular business hours.
- Be on-call every Saturday for a 24-hour shift.
