About The Position

Lou Fusz Ford, part of the Lou Fusz Automotive Network, is seeking a skilled, customer-focused Mobile Service Technician. The technician performs maintenance and light repairs at customer locations using a fully equipped mobile service vehicle, representing the dealership while delivering convenient, high-quality service. This is a union position governed by District No. 9, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers A.F.L.-C.I.O.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician or in a similar role.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various outdoor conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training.
• ASE certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site vehicle maintenance and light repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, filter replacements, and fluid services.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and document service recommendations.
• Drive and operate the mobile service vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle condition, required repairs, and estimated completion times.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure work meets Ford Motor Company and Lou Fusz standards.
• Keep the mobile unit stocked, organized, and clean, and maintain its tools and equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Provide high-quality customer service and promote the dealership’s commitment to convenience and quality.
