About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Mobile Repair Specialist to maintain and repair its fleet of trucks and trailers in the assigned area. The role involves using U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess field vehicles, planning and completing repairs, and establishing an effective route to reach equipment that is down or inoperable. The position offers the flexibility to self-manage daily work, with company-provided support, tools, and equipment education. U-Haul also provides technician training, including Ford and GMC classes, and a tool purchase program. The position is not eligible for employer sponsorship; applicants must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Repair equipment with appropriate tools and in accordance with U-Haul standards.
Complete work in a timely manner.
Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what action to take.
Complete required ongoing U-Haul equipment education.
Establish an effective route in the assigned area to repair down or inoperable equipment and ensure equipment is repaired or scheduled for repair.
Maintain an inventory of repair parts and charge out all parts used.
Provide assistance in additional areas as needed, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
