About The Position

The Mobile Repair Specialist uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and maintain field vehicles. The role involves traveling through an assigned area to repair down or inoperable equipment, with support and tools provided by U-Haul. The position offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career advancement. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Positive attitude.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of automotive and trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using appropriate tools and in accordance with U-Haul standards.
• Complete work in a timely manner.
• Identify causes of operating errors and decide how to address them.
• Complete required ongoing education about U-Haul equipment.
• Establish an effective route through the assigned area to repair down or inoperable equipment and ensure equipment is repaired or scheduled for repair.
• Maintain an inventory of repair parts and charge out all parts used.
• Provide assistance in other areas as needed, following the supervisor’s directions and guidance.
