About The Position

Full Throttle Marine is seeking an independent contractor to provide mobile outboard service to boat owners in the Tampa, Florida area. The company books jobs through its platform and handles the brand and customer bookings; the technician performs the work and manages their own schedule and service territory. The role offers flexible scheduling and jobs booked through the platform. The technician will perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on Yamaha and Mercury outboard engines, including winterization and spring commissioning, and provide customers with professional photo reports after each job. Requirements

Current ABYC, Yamaha, or Mercury certification, or equivalent factory training.
Hands-on experience with Yamaha and/or Mercury outboards.
Own tools and a reliable vehicle.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Pride in work and a genuine customer-first attitude.

Nice To Haves

Multiple marine certifications.
Experience with engines ranging from 25 to 400 HP.
Marine electronics expertise.
Detailing and cosmetic restoration skills.
Familiarity with the St. Johns River and Intracoastal Waterway.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled 50-, 100-, and 200-hour outboard service on Yamaha and Mercury engines.
Diagnose and repair outboards at docks to factory-quality standards.
Perform winterization and spring commissioning services.
Send customers professional photo reports after every job.
Manage an independent schedule and service territory.
