About The Position

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate timely route completion. The role handles incoming service orders, directs drivers, and resolves service issues. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of transportation management systems. The Dispatcher assigns loads based on designated routes, jobs, and driver locations; monitors route intervals and employee hours; balances hours among drivers; and monitors compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. The role also checks that driver DOT logs are current before dispatch, collects daily pre- and post-trip inspections, creates work orders for the shop, and records completed work-order information in tracking spreadsheets or other systems. Other job-related duties may be assigned or apparent.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in a customer-facing position.
Strong organizational skills.
A solid understanding of transportation management systems.

Nice To Haves

Two years of prior experience working as a dispatcher is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assign loads to drivers based on designated routes, jobs, and driver location.
Monitor route time intervals for gaps.
Monitor employee hours to minimize overtime.
Balance the distribution of hours between drivers.
Monitor driver times to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Ensure driver DOT logs are current before dispatching drivers.
Collect daily pre- and post-trip inspections.
Create work orders for the shop.
Collect completed work orders and enter data into a tracking spreadsheet or other systems.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
