About The Position

Full Throttle Marine is hiring an independent contractor to provide mobile marine service to boat owners in the St. Augustine, Florida area. The company books jobs through its platform and provides the brand and customer relationships; the technician performs the work and controls their own schedule, availability, and service territory. Services are performed at customers’ docks and include outboard maintenance and repair, winterization, and spring commissioning. Technicians provide customers with professional photo reports after each job. Compensation is per flat-rate service ticket, with no hourly caps and the potential for unlimited earnings. The company is expanding its First Coast network and is seeking technicians who take pride in their work and provide customer-focused service.

Requirements

Current ABYC, Yamaha, or Mercury certification, or equivalent factory training.
Hands-on experience with Yamaha and/or Mercury outboards.
Own tools and a reliable vehicle.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Pride in work and a genuine customer-first attitude.

Nice To Haves

Multiple marine certifications.
Experience with engines ranging from 25 to 400 HP.
Marine electronics expertise.
Detailing and cosmetic restoration skills.
Familiarity with the St. Johns River and Intracoastal Waterway.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled 50-, 100-, and 200-hour service intervals on Yamaha and Mercury outboard engines.
Diagnose and repair outboard engines at customers’ docks to factory-quality standards.
Perform winterization and spring commissioning services.
Send professional photo reports to customers after every job.
Manage an independent schedule and service territory.
