About The Position

The Master’s Lawn & Pest is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join their team in St. Augustine, Florida. This is a full-time position focused on diagnosing and repairing complex commercial and residential irrigation systems. The company has been a leading outdoor service provider in North Florida for over 20 years, specializing in high-end irrigation systems. They offer a supportive environment for skilled technicians, providing fully equipped service vehicles and year-round work.

Requirements

Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Over 5 years of dedicated irrigation experience with a proven track record in high-end commercial or residential systems.
Proficiency in 2-Wire systems, including Hunter ACC2/ICD and Rain Bird ESP-LXIVM (decoders, open/shorted wire tracing, and wiring path tracing).
Electrical diagnostic skills using multimeters, wire locators, and valve locators for solenoid resistance, amperage, and voltage testing.
Hydraulic knowledge including diagnosing stuck/leaking valves, diaphragm failures, and high-pressure PVC main and lateral line repairs.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex conventional and 2-wire irrigation systems independently.
Utilize advanced diagnostic locators and meters to trace faults, locate buried valves, and efficiently repair electrical short circuits.
Program commercial controllers, design custom irrigation schedules, and conduct system audits.
Clearly document job notes and recommend system improvements directly to property managers and homeowners.
