About The Position

Hillman is seeking a Mobile Locksmith Technician to join its Automotive Key Services team in Nashville, Tennessee. The technician operates a fully equipped mobile service van and delivers automotive key cutting, duplication, programming, and locksmith solutions directly to customers. Working alongside an Automotive Mobile Sales Representative, the technician serves as the technical expert in the field and helps provide a seamless, customer-first service experience.

The role combines automotive technology, independent field work, customer interaction, and business growth. The technician diagnoses customer needs, recommends solutions, maintains the mobile workspace and its equipment, coordinates appointments and daily service activities, and represents Hillman professionally. Weekend availability and travel to one store location per day within a 50-mile radius are expected. Typical hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with schedule options of Thursday through Monday or Friday through Tuesday.

Compensation is $25 per hour plus 5% commission on sales. Hillman provides a service van, fuel card for business use, paid training and development, medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holiday pay, and career advancement opportunities. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, but not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a locksmith license where required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer, email, and mobile technology proficiency.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to work in a mobile, field-based environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varying schedules as business needs require.
• Weekend availability and travel to one store location per day within a 50-mile radius.
