About The Position

Hillman is seeking a Mobile Locksmith Technician for its growing Automotive Key Services team in Atlanta, Georgia. The technician operates a fully equipped mobile service van and provides automotive key cutting, duplication, programming, key fob, and locksmith services at customer locations. Working alongside an Automotive Mobile Sales Representative, the technician serves as the technical expert in the field and delivers customer-focused service using automotive key and programming technology. The role combines independent field work, customer interaction, technical troubleshooting, and contribution to business growth and customer satisfaction.

The technician manages the mobile workspace, maintains the van, inventory, supplies, and equipment, and coordinates appointments and daily service activities. The schedule is typically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with options to work Thursday through Monday or Friday through Tuesday. Weekend availability is required. The position includes travel to one store location per day within a 50-mile radius.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Locksmith License where required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer, email, and mobile technology proficiency.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to work in a mobile, field-based environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and varying schedules as business needs require.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide automotive key cutting, duplication, programming, and key fob services at customer locations.
• Diagnose customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Partner with the Automotive Mobile Sales Representative to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Serve as the technical expert in the field while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions professionally.
• Manage and maintain a fully equipped mobile locksmith van.
• Maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment readiness.
• Coordinate customer appointments and daily service activities.
• Keep the van organized, professional, and customer-ready.
• Create positive customer experiences and build trust through professionalism, technical expertise, and reliability.
• Represent Hillman with integrity and exceptional service.
• Share feedback and recommendations to help improve operations and customer experiences.
