About The Position

Raymour & Flanigan is seeking a Home Furniture Repair Technician to travel to customers' homes to assess and complete furniture repairs. The technician is expected to provide professional, confident, and positive service in customers' homes, communicate with customers about service and repair agreements, and help enhance the customer shopping experience. The role involves independent work as well as working within a team, maintaining a service repair vehicle, and following company safety procedures and state traffic and transportation laws. The technician inspects, repairs, and evaluates customer service repairs and provides and executes warranty protection plans. Additional functions may be assigned by management. Furniture repair work requires lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving furniture, including the ability to lift 50 pounds. The position requires a flexible schedule based on the customer delivery schedule. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Raymour & Flanigan supports a drug- and smoke-free work environment.

Requirements

Two years of experience working with wood furniture, leather, fabric, and upholstery.
A cleared motor vehicle record and a valid driver's license.
Color matching and blending skills.
Wood repair skills, including burn-ins and wood graining.
Leather repair skills, including repairing scuffs, holes, and tears.
Upholstery repair skills, including structural and mechanism replacements.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the customer delivery schedule.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform the physical tasks required for furniture repairs.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
