About The Position

Pliler International is expanding its Mobile Service team and is seeking a dependable, skilled technician to provide onsite maintenance and repairs throughout East Texas and Northwest Louisiana. The technician will operate a fully equipped company mobile service truck, handling scheduled service during normal business hours, as well as participating in after-hours and on-call service when needed. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in quality work, communicates effectively with customers, and enjoys the variety of working outside a traditional shop environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a diesel mechanic, truck technician, mobile service technician, or similar role
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing medium- or heavy-duty commercial trucks
  • Strong knowledge of diesel, mechanical, electrical, brake, air, suspension, steering, and related vehicle systems
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple service calls and priorities
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in a variety of customer-site and roadside conditions
  • Dependability and flexibility to participate in after-hours and on-call coverage
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements for operating the mobile service vehicle
  • High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations throughout East Texas and Northwest Louisiana
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical information
  • Repair systems including brakes, electrical, air systems, suspension, steering, HVAC, cooling, starting and charging, drivetrain, and aftertreatment
  • Respond to scheduled service calls and assigned after-hours or roadside service requests
  • Communicate clearly with customers about vehicle concerns, repair findings, and recommended services
  • Coordinate with the Service Manager, Service Advisor, and dealership team
  • Complete repair orders and accurately document labor, parts, inspections, and repairs
  • Maintain the tools, parts, supplies, and equipment assigned to the mobile service truck
  • Keep the service truck clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready to respond
  • Follow company safety procedures and customer-site safety requirements
  • Provide professional, dependable service and build positive customer relationships
