About The Position

This position answers phones to triage callers and determine whether a mobile crisis response is needed. As a member of a mobile crisis response team, the practitioner provides diagnostic and crisis assessments, crisis intervention, and additional therapeutic services as indicated. Services are provided in clients’ homes through Mobile Crisis Response, in an office, and via telehealth. The position is based in Shakopee, Minnesota, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Canvas Health is a nonprofit Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic specializing in serving clients who are on Medicaid. Its integrated programs provide coordinated care in clients’ homes, the community, and clinics for people of all ages, including those living with mental illness, substance use disorders, crisis, unstable housing, and trauma.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in behavioral sciences.
• At least 2,000 hours of delivering supervised services to clients with mental illness, substance use disorder, or emotional disturbance, or currently serving a federally recognized tribe and meeting the definition of “vendor of medical care.”

Responsibilities
