About The Position

The University of Washington’s Husky Assist unit is hiring a part-time Mobile Crisis Responder to address urgent behavioral health needs across the UW Seattle campus. The responder serves students, faculty, staff, visitors, and, when applicable, youth and children under 18 who are on campus for a UW-sanctioned purpose. Responses may be conducted independently or alongside UW Police, depending on the situation. The role requires close coordination with police and comfort working with them during response activities. Husky Assist is a developing program, so the position calls for flexibility, collaboration, innovation, and willingness to support ongoing change and process improvement. The position works on-site within the UW Seattle campus footprint. Rare telework assignments for special projects may be approved at the Director’s discretion. The regular schedule is three nine-hour shifts per week, 11:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m. on non-holiday weekdays: every Tuesday and Thursday, plus alternating Monday or Friday. Additional shifts may be available. The position is 67.5% FTE, and the posted annual full-time salary range of $80,004–$100,008 is prorated for this part-time appointment. The responder provides crisis intervention, stabilization, assessment, care coordination, and referrals; coordinates with emergency-response partners; builds campus and community partnerships; completes documentation and data collection; and contributes to quality improvement and special projects. The position reports to the Director of Husky Assist and receives ongoing supervisory support, including in-the-moment consultation and routine supervision.
