About The Position

The University of Washington’s Husky Assist unit is hiring a Mobile Crisis Responder to address urgent behavioral health needs across the UW Seattle campus. The responder serves students, faculty, staff, visitors, and, when present on campus for a UW-sanctioned purpose, youth and children under 18. Responses may be independent or conducted with UW Police, depending on the situation. The role requires close coordination with police and comfort working alongside law enforcement. Husky Assist is a developing program, so the successful candidate will bring flexibility, collaboration, innovation, and openness to change and process improvement. The position is based on-site within the UW Seattle campus footprint. Responders work 11 a.m.–8:30 p.m. on non-holiday weekdays, with one weekday off every other week. In rare cases, the Director may assign a special project that can be performed remotely. The role provides direct crisis intervention, stabilization, assessment, care coordination, disposition planning, and referrals; builds partnerships and awareness across campus and community agencies; contributes to program administration and quality improvement; and may lead special projects assigned by the Director. Ongoing supervisory support is provided. The position is regular, 100% FTE. The annual pay range is $80,004–$100,008. The University describes its work environment as diverse and offers benefits and professional growth opportunities; specific benefit details are provided through the University’s benefits information page.
