About The Position

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring seasonal Servers at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Servers are the face of the restaurant and play a critical role in providing excellent guest service. This is a tipped position; the listed hourly minimum pay does not include potential tips.

Delaware North is the food, beverage, and retail provider at Little Caesars Arena, a 20,000-seat venue that opened in 2017 and is home to the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and the NBA's Detroit Pistons. Services include concessions and premium dining in club areas, loge boxes, and suites.

Requirements

• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing is required.
• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions are required.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for setup, service, and cleanup.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience as a server in a high-volume environment is preferred.
• Previous experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, provide menus, communicate restaurant specials, answer questions about menu items, take food and beverage orders, serve ordered items, and attend to guests throughout their visit.
• Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system.
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, and follow alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Prepare and deliver guest checks, accept payments, and process transactions.
• Collaborate with restaurant servers, kitchen staff, and bar staff.
• Perform assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties.
• Keep equipment and workspaces clean, sanitized, organized, and in proper working order.
