Cold Kitchen Supervisor, Little Caesars Arena
About The Position
Delaware North Sportservice is hiring a seasonal Cold Kitchen Supervisor at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The supervisor oversees cold food preparation and production, ensuring quality standards while leading team members in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The role includes preparing a range of cold dishes and food displays, maintaining kitchen organization and equipment, and helping deliver exceptional food service to guests. Delaware North provides food, beverage, and retail services at Little Caesars Arena, a 20,000-seat venue and home of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons. Services include concessions and premium dining in club areas, loge boxes, and suites.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience as a line cook, including supervisory experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience creating menus.
- Attentive and detail-oriented.
- Basic math skills and ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions.
- Manual dexterity to chop, mix, blend, and whip a variety of foods and liquids.
- Ability to lift and carry large pans weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
Responsibilities
- Supervise team members and ensure cold food preparation and production meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers and ensure kitchen equipment is in working order.
- Prepare salads, cold appetizers, soups, sauces, charcuterie boards, and other food displays.
- Supervise the breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food.
- Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties.
- Help maintain food costs within parameters set by culinary leadership.
- Partner with team members and restaurant managers to satisfy guests.
