Mixer Operator (CDL Mixer Driver) – Ready Mix Concrete - Kingsport
About The Position
SRM Concrete is hiring a Mixer Operator to transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential construction sites. The role requires a safety-focused, service-oriented driver who represents the company professionally at job sites and ensures deliveries are timely, accurate, and meet specified quality standards. Operators are home after every shift and work consistent local routes; the company is closed every Sunday. The position includes operating a concrete mixer truck with a Class A or Class B CDL, inspecting and maintaining the vehicle, following safety regulations, keeping accurate records, and coordinating with dispatch and plant teams. Operators may also assist with general plant or yard duties. Previous mixer or construction-delivery experience is a plus, but motivated newcomers are welcome to learn. Requirements
- Active Class A or Class B CDL.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Proven safe driving record and commitment to safety.
- Strong commitment to customer service and representing SRM’s values.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, climb ladders or stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

- Previous experience as a Mixer Operator, Ready Mix Driver, or in construction delivery.
Responsibilities
- Operate a concrete mixer truck using a Class A or Class B CDL to safely transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
- Load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet specifications and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent SRM Concrete professionally at every job site.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to support vehicle safety and compliance.
- Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems.
- Coordinate scheduling and routing with dispatch and plant teams.
- Assist with general plant or yard duties as needed.
