About The Position

This role involves operating various equipment in the department, including mixers, pumps, lifts, hoists, bowl cutters, scales, cabbage spinners, and cross-fed belts. The position requires assembling and disassembling equipment, practicing strict sanitation and GMP practices to ensure food-safe products are manufactured. Responsibilities include gathering, prepping, and accurately weighing fresh ingredients, following recipes, monitoring temperatures, and gathering samples for quality control. The Mixer Operator will also maintain run sheets for cost accounting, track inventory of fresh ingredients, document environmental concerns for QA and USDA, and maintain accurate documentation on quality, production, and sanitation. Providing timely and accurate communication to the salad room operator regarding production needs and other duties as assigned is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Must demonstrate safe working habits
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to push roll tubs that weigh in excess of 650 pounds
  • Must be able to learn and perform all positions
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)
  • Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
  • Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas
  • Must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
  • Must understand Lockout/Tagout compliance requirements
  • Must be dependable and possess good follow up skills
