About The Position

The Mixer 1/Mixer 2 Utility position supports Mixer 1 and Mixer 2 by staging raw materials, loading feed conveyors, preparing compound totes, and keeping the mixers running while the Mixer Operator attends to other mixers or takes scheduled breaks. When both mixers are running, the Utility performs as a second mixer operator. When production does not require additional mixing support, the Utility performs other plant utility tasks, including work in Weathered Membrane Cleaner, Cut-Edge Sealant, Labeling, and Packaging. The role requires working independently and as part of a team, supporting plant production needs, maintaining housekeeping, and providing employee absence coverage. The position may also participate in plant-wide MDI activities, such as Kaizen events, 5S, and Boardwalks, and may be asked to deliver SQDC board presentations during absences. The work is performed in a manufacturing plant where ambient temperature follows the outside temperature, with heat provided in winter. The environment may be fast-paced and includes pinch points from moving machinery, sharp edges, and exposure to production chemicals and fumes. PPE is provided, uniforms are issued and laundered by the company, and the position involves standing, walking, climbing, lifting, pushing, bending, reaching, and sitting. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, with weekend overtime as business requires, across four possible shift schedules.
