About The Position

Paul Davis Restoration is hiring a full-time Mitigation Technician in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The role helps homeowners and businesses recover from property damage caused by water, fire, smoke, mold, and other disasters. The technician responds to affected properties, helps prevent further damage, and supports the restoration process. The job pays $18–$25 per hour depending on experience and requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule. The stated start date is ASAP.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds and work in tight or confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer, smartphone, and tablet skills.
• Dependable, hardworking, eager to learn, adaptable, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented, can-do mindset.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Previous construction, restoration, or other hands-on experience.
• IICRC certifications; the employer is willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls involving water, fire, smoke, and mold damage.
• Perform water extraction and set up structural drying equipment.
• Complete demolition, debris removal, and cleanup as needed.
• Take moisture readings and document job progress.
• Assist with fire and smoke cleaning and odor removal.
• Support mold remediation projects.
• Perform basic carpet and upholstery cleaning.
• Board up and secure damaged properties.
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the restoration process.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
