About The Position

As a Mitigation Technician with Paul Davis Restoration, you will help homeowners and businesses recover from unexpected property damage. You will respond to properties affected by water, fire, smoke, mold, and other disasters, working hands-on to prevent further damage and begin the restoration process. This is a full-time position in Idaho Falls, Idaho, with a rotating on-call schedule. Pay is $18–$25 per hour, depending on experience, and the start date is ASAP.

The role is suited to a dependable, hardworking person who is eager to learn and contribute to a team. It involves adapting to changing situations, taking initiative, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in tight or confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer, smartphone, and tablet skills.
• Positive attitude and a team-oriented, can-do mindset.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Previous construction, restoration, or other hands-on experience.
• IICRC certifications; the company is willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency water, fire, smoke, and mold damage calls.
• Perform water extraction and set up structural drying equipment.
• Complete demolition, debris removal, and cleanup as needed.
• Take moisture readings and document job progress.
• Assist with fire and smoke cleaning and odor removal.
• Support mold remediation projects.
• Perform basic carpet and upholstery cleaning.
• Board up and secure damaged properties.
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the restoration process.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and work areas.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
