About The Position

Restoration 1 New Jersey is hiring a Mitigation Operations Manager to lead its water, fire, smoke, and mold mitigation department. This on-site, full-time role in Denville, New Jersey owns department operations, including crew leadership, job quality, estimates, documentation, and team development. The manager works with adjusters, TPAs, property managers, and homeowners and participates in rotating emergency on-call coverage. Compensation includes a base salary based on experience and a performance bonus tied to collected gross profit and fewer invoice reductions. A company vehicle, phone, and tablet are provided.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in water and fire mitigation, including at least 2 years leading crews.
IICRC WRT and ASD certifications.
Strong Xactimate skills for mitigation.
Experience with job documentation tools such as DryBook, Encircle, or similar.
A track record of clean job files and low invoice reductions.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

IICRC AMRT certification.
IICRC FSRT certification.

Responsibilities

Schedule and lead mitigation technicians and crew leads.
Ensure job quality from the initial call through final invoice, including drying plans, moisture logs, photos, and equipment records that meet adjuster and TPA review standards.
Prepare accurate Xactimate mitigation scopes and estimates.
Review each job file before invoicing.
Hire, train, coach, and hold technicians accountable.
Work on site with adjusters, TPAs, property managers, and homeowners.
Maintain equipment, vehicle, and safety standards.
Participate in rotating on-call coverage for emergencies.
Lead and develop the mitigation department.
