About The Position

The Boeing Company is hiring experienced embedded missions systems software engineers for its Mission Systems Software team in Berkeley, Missouri. Engineers work in a collaborative Agile integrated product team to implement features for safety-critical and/or mission-critical flight software. They contribute across the software development lifecycle, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, algorithm development, implementation, testing (including Hardware in the Loop), verification, and documentation. Development takes place in a continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) build pipeline focused on code quality, security, and automation. Potential capability areas include sensor fusion, mission management, resource management, fire control and weapons engagement, mission processing, stores management software, tactical communications, third-party software integration, and pilot vehicle interface software. Candidates are matched to teams and opportunities based on program needs, background and experience, and career goals. The team works across software, analysis, integration and test, sensors, and system test engineering. More senior engineers may develop technical product plans, lead and mentor less-experienced engineers, and communicate with senior leadership and government counterparts. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance after starting and program access; U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance and program access. Applicants must also meet U.S. export-control requirements as a U.S. Person. Relocation may be offered based on eligibility, and travel may be required up to 10% of the time. The role includes a technical assessment as part of selection. The stated Experienced (Level 3) salary range is $126,650–$171,350. Boeing does not sponsor employment visas.
