About The Position

As a Mining Geologist, you play a key role in optimizing grade control and ensuring the reliability of ore feeding the processing plants. You directly contribute to mine performance by ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of geological and operational data.

Requirements

Good knowledge of mining geology and mineral identification
Experience in drilling supervision, geological logging, and sampling
Quality control of geological data and grade monitoring
Ability to read and interpret geological maps and cross-sections
Proficiency in mining software (Micromine, Surpac, Excel, etc.)
Strong adherence to HSE standards and safety procedures
Good coordination skills and strong team spirit

Experience preferably in a field-based mining environment

Responsibilities

Supervise and support sampling operations during grade control drilling to accurately define ore and waste zones
Participate in ore delineation and extraction control operations to minimize dilution and ore loss
Ensure the quality and reliability of field data and reports
Contribute to the implementation of drilling programs and ensure strict compliance with QA/QC protocols
Oversee the proper management and tracking of samples sent to the laboratory
Participate in optimizing ore movement and blending in coordination with plant teams
Identify and analyze any anomalies related to dilution or ore losses and propose corrective actions
Supervise and develop ore control technicians/observers
Ensure strict compliance with the highest safety standards and promote a strong safety culture
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on site
Provide technical support in hydrogeology and geotechnics as required by operations
Actively contribute to the site’s environmental commitments
