About The Position

Sovereign Consulting Inc., an environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ, is seeking a GIT / Geologist / Environmental Scientist with 0 to 2 years of experience for its Exton, PA office. The position involves environmental field sampling, preparation of technical materials and reports, and proposal preparation. Candidates should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Occasional overnight travel is required. Employment is contingent upon passing a Drug & Alcohol screening test and a pre-placement medical evaluation to determine the ability to safely perform the job duties. Candidates must provide documentation confirming identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Salary is commensurate with experience. The position is full-time and includes a benefits package. A relocation package will not be offered.

Requirements

0–2 years of environmental or geology-related experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Demonstrated technical writing skills.
Clean driving record.
Occasional overnight travel.
Excellent communication, analytical, and field sampling skills.
Pass a Drug & Alcohol screening test and a pre-placement medical evaluation.
Provide documentation confirming identity and eligibility for employment in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Pennsylvania Geologist-in-Training or Pennsylvania Professional Geologist license.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification, current 8-hour refresher, and/or Supervisor Certification.
