About The Position

Turner Staffing Group is seeking a Geologist to support an underground exploration and technical geology project for a mining industry client in the Elko, Nevada area. This is an on-site, project-based opportunity in an active mining environment. The Geologist will support geological analysis, data collection, and technical documentation related to mineral exploration and project evaluation. The role works closely with technical teams to interpret geological data and contribute to project outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Geology, Engineering Geology, or Geochemistry.
Completion of an undergraduate mineralogy course with a laboratory component.
Completion of an economic geology course.
3 to 10 years of core logging experience.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a technical, data-driven environment.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Experience with skarn and porphyry geology.
Familiarity with hydrothermal alteration systems.
Experience with Acquire or similar geological data management systems.
Prior exposure to mining or exploration environments.

Responsibilities

Support geological logging, sampling, and analysis activities.
Interpret mineralogical and geological data related to exploration programs.
Assist with data entry, validation, and management within geological databases.
Collaborate with senior geologists and technical teams on geological interpretations.
Contribute to project documentation and reporting.
Follow all site safety procedures and field protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
