About The Position

As a Minibar Attendant, you will serve the needs of the business, guests, and colleagues by replenishing each guest room’s minibar with careful attention to detail and quality. The role includes stocking and maintaining private-bar items, keeping accurate inventory levels, cleaning and maintaining minibar units, delivering requested items promptly, and communicating guest charges to the Front Office. The attendant also provides considerate guest service and follows food-safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment. The posting identifies the role as full-time, seasonal, and non-exempt, with targeted compensation of $18.00 per hour. It also describes the position as flexible-schedule work that may include weekends and holidays, depending on department needs.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as a food-handler certificate or alcohol-training certifications, as applicable to the position.

Responsibilities

Stock and replenish private-bar items, and accurately compute and relay guest charges to the Front Office.
Maintain accurate par levels of beverages, snacks, and non-food supplies such as menu cards, napkins, and straws on carts and in storage areas.
Clean and maintain in-room private bars and minibars, and report damage or malfunctioning units.
Check the quality and expiration dates of items, discarding and replacing them according to established procedures.
Deliver requested items efficiently and promptly.
Communicate with guests about their needs and satisfaction with beverages and drinks, providing consistently caring, high-quality service.
Follow safe food-handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment using proper skills and food-safety guidelines.
