About The Position

The Millwright & Glulam Line Technician is a hybrid technical role responsible for both the mechanical reliability and operational performance of the new glulam production line. During the installation and commissioning phase, this role plays a lead hands-on role in equipment setup, alignment, and startup of key systems including the sorting line, finger jointing line, planer, and material handling systems. Following commissioning, the role transitions into a dual-function position, combining millwright responsibilities (preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical improvements) with active operation of production equipment. The successful candidate will support plant uptime while contributing directly to throughput, quality, and continuous improvement on the line. This role is best suited to a highly practical, mechanically strong individual who is comfortable moving between trades work and production operation in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
