Millwright Maintenance Technician
About The Position
INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA is seeking a Millwright Maintenance Technician for their Battleground Manufacturing Complex in La Porte, TX. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of a large-scale petrochemical facility that produces high-density polyethylene and polypropylene. The technician will be part of a team focused on safety, environmental compliance, and high-quality work within a complex mechanical environment handling flammable materials. The position requires a strong understanding of the INEOS 20 Principles and active participation in safety processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment, polymer plant preferred.
- Ability to safely work in a complex mechanical facility processing large quantities of flammable materials.
- Ability to follow standard procedure to ensure safety, environmental compliance and high quality work.
- Ability to interpret drawings, P&IDs, manuals.

Responsibilities
- Safely work in a complex mechanical facility processing large quantities of flammable materials.
- Participate in behavior based safety process.
- Follow standard procedure to ensure safety, environmental compliance and high quality work.
- Measure mechanical parameters, compare them to standards, and return equipment to meet standards.
- Record key measurements to facilitate analysis of failures and development of improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot operational problems associated with rotating equipment.
- Remove and install equipment, including alignment and testing to ensure proper operation.
- Work successfully in a team-oriented environment to accomplish daily work activities.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems to increase plant availability.
- Identify appropriate spare parts for equipment.
- Interpret drawings, P&IDs, and manuals.
- Perform precision assembly of complex gearboxes, pumps, compressors, blowers, airlocks, centrifuges, and specialized extruding equipment.
