About The Position

Plan, lay out, and perform mechanical equipment setting and maintenance work in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested. This is a safety-sensitive role. The job description may change at any time and may include other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Read and understand drawings, specifications, and safety and quality standards.
• Effectively use trade tools and equipment relevant to the work.
• Have an in-depth understanding of the millwright trade.
• Have at least three years of industrial/commercial construction experience for Level I, four years for Level II, five years for Level III, or six or more years for Senior level.
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Be able to wear required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Seek opportunities to share knowledge and teach others.
• Eliminate waste, including waiting, rework, unnecessary transportation, material storage, and wasted time.
• Inspect subordinates’ work for accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications; explain deficiencies and take corrective action.
• Look for opportunities to improve tasks, methods, and means of performing the work, and be willing to learn from others.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members.
• Produce high-quality work safely and productively.
• Provide feedback to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are available for the work.
• Perform work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills when requested.
