About The Position

The Facilities Foreperson supervises day-to-day facility maintenance operations to ensure venues are safe, clean, functional, and event ready. The role leads facilities staff, coordinates maintenance activities, and works closely with venue operations to support events, tenants, and guests while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable laws, including training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints; and resolving problems. The role is based onsite at a venue/location in an outdoor golf course setting and may involve adverse weather, hazardous substances, environmental exposure, noise, confined spaces, and heights. The position requires frequent standing and walking, physical handling of equipment and materials, and the use of various vehicles, lifts, ladders, and tools.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a related field.
Working knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read work orders, diagrams, and basic technical documentation.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Valid Michigan Operator’s License for occasional driving required to perform job-related tasks.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to operate bucket trucks, scissor lifts, forklifts, auto scrubbers, and ladders, and to use job-specific hand and power tools.
Ability to work in confined spaces and withstand heights, noise, and outdoor weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Technical or trade school training preferred.
Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead facilities staff, including assigning daily work orders and event-related tasks.
Coordinate building maintenance activities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, carpentry, and general repairs.
Ensure venues are properly set up, maintained, and restored before, during, and after events.
Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
Respond promptly to facility-related issues during events and operational hours.
Assist with preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of building systems and equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed to complete repairs and projects.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and Legends Global policies.
Support emergency response efforts related to facility systems as required.
Train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; address complaints; and resolve problems.
Perform other duties as assigned to support venue operations.
