About The Position

Boise Cascade is hiring a Millwork Inventory Control Specialist to maintain inventory control at a distribution location. The role involves securing, identifying, and organizing inventory so it is readily accessible to authorized personnel; counting inventory and reconciling it with records; and verifying quantities on incoming and outgoing shipments. The specialist analyzes inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales orders and forecasts. The position is described as an office environment with minimal physical exertion. The employee is expected to maintain a clean work area, follow safety programs and OSHA regulations, and support safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

Typically more than five years of experience in a related job function.
May require a technical certification or an associate degree.

Responsibilities

Maintain control over inventories, ensuring they are secured, properly identified, and readily accessible to authorized personnel at a distribution location.
Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile results with inventory records.
Verify that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct to maintain accurate physical and record inventories.
Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with production and sales orders and forecasts.
Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
Follow safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
